Kamaraj Kalvi Valarchi Naal in SBIOA School

Many were the accomplishments of Shri.K.Kamaraj. From humble beginnings of a village lad , he rose to the position of a national leader and  played a memorable role in the transition of power in the days following the death of Shri.Jawaharlal Nehru. Yet, his contribution to the cause of universal education and free meal scheme to attract children to the school overshadows all  his  other accomplishments and hence our observance of his birthday as ‘Kalvi Valarchi Naal’.

A meeting that was organised to mark the  ‘Kalvi Valarchi Naal’ was attended  by our correspondent, Mr.A.V.Joseph, Principal, Mrs.Sophia Vijaya Rani, PTA President, Mr.K.Murugan, Vice-Principal, Mr.V.V.Anand and others. Thiru. Amutha Gaanam  Aadhavan , Programme Co ordinator, Mega TV and Artist was the chief guest.

Thiru. Aadhavan’s speech was lucid and thought provoking  and evoked repeated applause from the students. He laid emphasis on character building. His view was that  other accomplishments of the students will become void in the absence of good character. He appealed to the students to be humane towards fellow citizens and  exhibit human approach towards one and all for , serving the poor is serving God.
Our correspondent, PTA President  and our  Principal  also addressed the students and exhorted them to imbue  the great qualities of leaders like Kamaraj and render selfless service to the society.

Our school organised competitions for the students of Villivakkam Panchayat Union School and winners  were awarded prizes.

A cultural programme was also organised studded with speeches , Villu paattu  and Skit.  The programme was out and out planned and executed by  our students which also drew appreciation from one and all.

The programme came to an end  with the singing of our National Anthem Jana Gana Mana by our students.
